The new Rolba R500 is unique in terms of size and power. There are no comparable self-propelled snow blowers of this type and size on the market. The scope of performance can be exactly adapted to customer requirements. Various clearing widths are available to choose from. Apart from direct ejection, various ejector tube lengths are available and even a telescopic ejector tube. If required, the R500 can be prepared for multiple use. For example, with regard to a boom mower.
The new ZAUGG-Rolba R500 heralds a new dimension in the field of self-propelled snow blowers. Its compact dimensions alone – length 546 cm, width 180 to 210 cm, height 307 cm, wheelbase 200 cm and turning circle 480 cm – bear witness to that. Also the total weight of 8 tons and the 170 kW MTU diesel engine reveal that we can expect quite some power. A state-of-the-art diesel engine complying with the latest specifications regarding exhaust emissions. In addition, noise emissions are very low. Depending on the configuration and snow conditions, a clearing capacity of about 1800 tons per hour and a stepless casting distance of up to 40 metres are achieved.
The 2-stage ZAUGG-Rolba snow blower SF 90-100 is optionally available in 3 widths and is operated by means of a joystick designed to the latest technology. Mechanical drive means maximum power. The snow is cleared up to a height of 130 cm in one single pass. The cutter reels and the impeller are protected by cut-out clutches. The rotational direction of the cutter can be reversed to release any blockage and remove jammed parts. A folding blade can be installed upon request. The snow ejection depends on the ejection technique used. You can choose between a 2-flap, 4-flap or telescopic ejector tube. These can all be hydraulically rotated and the ejector flaps are hydraulically adjustable. Of course, the tried and tested ejector chute extensions are still available. Not to forget the direct discharge option, which ensures particular efficiency. The cutter is connected to the vehicle by means of a three-point lifter. The newly resulting weight compensation of the equipment enables more precise adaptation to the ground in working mode and ensures the necessary vibration damping during dislocation.
The fitted engine is designed to comply with emission level EuroMot Step V and offers a stepless hydrostatic drive with 2 mechanical travel speeds and cruise control. Dislocation can be performed at a speed of up to 40 km/h. The clearance speed is between 0.15–40 km/h as necessary. Thanks to its front, rear, all-wheel and crab steering, the R500 is extremely agile and is particularly suitable for snow clearance in very confined conditions.
The double cab with hydraulic bearing suspension is highly comfortable and equipped with sound insulation. The operating concept was designed in a strictly ergonomic manner according to most recent knowledge. It consists of a joystick for the control of the hydraulic functions of the snow blower, cruise control and travel drive. The changeover from forward to reverse and back takes place directly via a handy switch on the steering wheel. The 12-inch coloured control screen can be operated by turning and pressing the handy, multifunctional control knob to navigate in the correspondingly displayed levels. The screen displays all important information, functions and the optional camera monitoring in an absolutely new and clearly arranged manner. This ensures comprehensive control of the Rolba R500. The view to the rear is visibly improved thanks to the remarkably low bonnet. The engine compartment is much more space saving due to the compact arrangement of the exhaust system. The cab itself is equipped with rollover protection and is ROPS tested. A reversing camera or bird view camera system can be installed upon request.
Thanks to the newly-designed, hydraulically backward-tilting bonnet, access to the engine compartment is extremely simply, thus making maintenance much easier.
Air conditioning, central lubrication, attachment device for multiple use, wide tyres, various ejection chutes and chute extensions, reversing camera, bird view, colour variants, additional rear weight, cab lift, side blade, lateral guard plates, LED marker light.
