ZAUGG floor cleaning: unique, cost-effective and economical
This unique floor cleaning technique enables the most various circulation areas to be economically and efficiently cleaned and guarantees the maintenance of value at a convincing price/performance ratio.
The ZAUGG Steambeast is a roadworthy vehicle with a front-mounted special cleaning head containing a rotating brush, which loosens the most various types of dirt from the floor by means of hot low-pressure steam. Die squeegee after the brush takes up the loosened dirt and remaining condensed water. Only a small amount of water is needed to cover an extremely large area.
The cleaning head and the corresponding attachment are mounted on or attached to a carrier vehicle of type Meili VM1300, especially adapted to the Steambeast.
The cleaning effect is as impressive as it is gentle. The most various surfaces are not worn or destroyed during cleaning, and joints are not washed out. Areas soiled with chewing gum look almost new again after being treated with this thermo-mechanical cleaning process.
Facility management, contractors, service providers, large companies, municipalities, airports, public transport (particularly railway stations), authorities, military, sports facilities, event halls, workshops, shopping centres etc.
This cleaning method is an extremely quiet thermo-mechanical process. The fresh water is turned into low-pressure steam in the boilers. This steam is then applied to the surface to be cleaned by means of the cleaning head. The dirt is gently broken down and mechanically removed from the surface by means of the following brush. The suction lip after the brush takes up the removed dirt particles and remaining condensed water. The low-pressure steam moistens and softens the dirt. There is also the possibility of pre-treating the surface, depending on the type of soiling. A mobile high-pressure cleaner or small analogue appliance can be connected for the treatment of places that are not easily accessible.
The VM1300 is an all-wheel municipal service vehicle from Viktor Meili AG (Switzerland) with EURO 6 emission level, a width of 135 cm, 135 HP and a working load of 2.2 tons. Particularly suitable for working on pavement, in narrow passageways, towns and residential areas. Thanks to its powerful diesel engine and hydrostatic drive, it can always travel at the best possible working speed with a low engine speed. The special Meili crawling gear enables optimum feed control by means of a tread plate pedal. This crawling gear is so easy to operate, that the driver can fully concentrate on the work to be done. The operator’s seat is equipped with air suspension and has a joy-stick integrated into the armrest for the movement hydraulics and travel function. This convenient one-hand operation ensures fatigue-free and extremely fast working. The Meili can be driven with a standard driving license and has two ergonomic seats in the cab with an unrivalled overview of the control elements and cleaning head. The high level of driving comfort leaves nothing to be wished for.
The following equipment is standard:
DThe Steambeast cleaning head consists of a stainless steel housing, which accommodates the brush at the back and the 120 cm side steam field at the front. The cleaning head is attached to the front of the carrier vehicle by means of the hydraulic ZAUGG front lift and is thus vertically and laterally adjustable. The brush shaft is articulated and can be lifted inside the housing by two hydraulic cylinders. The brush pattern can be set using two adjustable screws when the brush is in floating position. The cleaning head runs on 4 steering rollers, for which the clearance of the cleaning head from the floor can be adjusted using spacer plates. The ZAUGG front lift can be used not only to move the cleaning head sideways by 325 mm, but also to lift it to transport position.
The rear superstructure is fixed to a support frame, which can be tilted backwards to ensure the best possible and easiest access to the engine of the carrier vehicle. The combined tank (fresh water, waste water, pre-treatment if applicable, and diesel) is mounted on the support frame. The boilers are screwed to the diesel tank. Access to all components integrated into the superstructure is extremely easy thanks to the folding lateral cover plates.
The cleaning element is activated via a special display in the cab of the carrier vehicle. All hydraulic functions of the superstructure are controlled by means of pumps which are powered by the engine of the carrier vehicle. The hydraulic movement functions (lifting, lowering, lateral movement etc.) of the cleaning head are directly supplied via the vehicle hydraulics and activated via the respective control elements (e. g. joystick) of the carrier vehicle.
