The efficiency with which the new Rolba 5000 self-propelled snow blower operates is shown by its performance data: A clearance capacity of up to 8000 tonnes and beyond is possible. The maximum clearance speed is 40 km/h, while the maximum driving speed is 60 km/h. The design clearance width is three metres, the casting distance up to 35 metres. The turning radius of seven metres with all-wheel steering is also outstanding – and with an overall weight of around 24 tonnes at that. The new snow blower features an infinitely adjustable hydrostatic wheel drive with automatic, load-dependent electronic control with two automatically selected gears. The mechanical auger drive has a two-speed multi-step transmission. Permanent all-wheel drive with differential lock on both axles ensures high safety in daily use, to which compressed air brakes with ABS (drum brakes) and a hand brake in the form of a spring brake actuator also contribute.
